Blossoms for the Soul Exhibit

Myriad Gardens and Howell Gallery Team up to present “Kim Robbins: Blossoms for the Soul”

Howell Gallery has teamed up with Myriad Botanical Gardens for a second time to bring a free fine art exhibit to the South Lobby of the Crystal Bridge. “Kim Robbins: Blossoms for the Soul” will be on display June 10 through August 10, during regular Crystal Bridge hours. The Crystal Bridge is open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. A free, public opening will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17.

“Expanding on her talent as a portrait photographer, Kim Robbins has discovered a passion for artistic expression. She masterfully captures nature and through digital processing, adds her own unique flare to the pieces she creates,” said Laura Howell Tirrell, director of the Howell Gallery.

“Digital art is much like other forms of art, it is just created using different tools than the more traditional arts. Understanding the tools is important but equally important to my process is the vision, message and emotion that I want to convey. My cameras and computers are tools for expressing these visions of line, form, color, composition, and rhythm.” ~ Kim Robbins

Kim’s statement about her show at the Gardens, “Blossoms for the Soul”:

Flowers are a gift of hope to the world. Their presence is always calling us into beauty, joy and creativity. Flowers have stood before us as symbols and mentors of Divine Spirit, representing all that is good and vital. They are always speaking when given as a gift, “I love you” … “I am thinking about you” … “You are important to me.”

Oklahoma City’s Howell Gallery, 6432 N. Western, is the exclusive representative for Robbins’ work in Oklahoma. Howell Gallery represents national, regional and local, up-and-coming artists. To learn more about the Gallery visit www.howellgallery.com.
